Anna (the one on the right in the photo) has been leading corporate improv workshops since 2018 for companies like Spanx (yep — THAT Spanx), SWACH, and Southwest Portland Martial Arts. An alum of Dad’s Garage in Atlanta, GA, Anna is happy to be back in the PNW, working with theatres like Northwest Children’s Theater, Twilight, and Kickstand Comedy. She’s been in hundreds of improv scenes, so there’s that, too.
FAQ
Why corporate improv?
Improv helps folks set boundaries, eliminate tension, make faster, more efficient decisions, and connect better with their colleagues.
What if I’m not funny?
You don’t have to be! Being a good improviser is NOT about being the funniest person in the room — it’s about listening (and responding) to your scene partner, supporting them so that they can be the best version of themselves (see how this leads to a more cohesive team?).
Do I HAVE to do it?
None of us have to do anything — such is the beauty of free will! But we promise you’ll have more fun if you participate. We aim to make sure every person comes away from our time together feeling more confident, fulfilled, and energized!
What’s the difference between corporate improv and regular ol’ improv?
Nothing, really — we just usually run these sessions at an event space or office, but we can host as well.
What are the “rules” of improv?
The main rules we’ll focus on are: “Yes-Anding”; playing games with a supportive attitude; and having fun! We establish boundaries at the beginning of every session, ensuring everyone feels comfortable with the events of the day.
Where have your improv coaches trained?
Our coaches have trained at Groundlings, Dad’s Garage, Jet City Improv, Kickstand Comedy, Curious Comedy, iO, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Second City — basically, all the big (and local) ones!
How do I hire you (this is the most important question!)?
Email us at: tinyparkproductions@gmail.com for general inquiries. We can either set up a call to discuss details or send along a proposal via email.
